Everyone praising this film may mean well, but I suggest that you don’t distribute “Zeitgeist Addendum”. While the information on the scam of the fractional reserve system and the motive and methods of the “New World Order” is accurate, the author’s solution is pure collectivism, and thus is counter-productive to the true, lasting, one and only consistently rational solution: Individualism.

All faiths imply collectivist morality. Communism, socialism, fascism - these are just political versions on the same irrational theme of collectivism. The “Venus Project” is simply another version: you could call it “Green Collectivism”.

Contrary to the glossy image “Zeitgeist Addendum” portrays of the “Venus Project”, there is no such thing as “common good”. What is GOOD is what I decide is good – FOR ME. No one else deciding for me; and my decision not dictated to anyone else. There is no “good” without the INDIVIDUAL who chooses his own values.

Follow through Venus project’s ideas of “common good” from basic housing to food to education, and you’ll find that it easily allows someone to pull the strings, some elite group deciding who eats what, who gets to procreate, who gets to be born - who’s invention is carried away by the horde of technicians to produce it in quantity for the collective and who’s is not.

If I were to live in the world of the “Venus Project”, I imagine longing to invent something of great interest to myself, and wanting to exchange my great achievement for the great achievement of someone else. But this would not be possible in that world. Everyone else would have a “right” to my achievement and to the achievements that I had sought after from others, thinking I could earn the products of their greatness with my own achievement. BUT NO! There is no greatness in collectivism! There are only equally STAGNANT MINDS everywhere because achievement is not rewarded with achievement, but is only sucked away into the horde of masses DEMANDING TO MAINTAIN the collectivist parasite they call a “society”.

Don’t be fooled into accepting the statement that “There is no human nature, only human behavior.” This is essential to success: Human nature IS that you survive by your capacity to reason. That: your consciousness is conceptual and volitional; not perceptual and instinctual.

If a problem has, as its source, the nature of the entity experiencing the problem, then it makes sense to eliminate the entity’s nature, right?… Oh, but wait, then you’d have to kill everyone to do that; so: “No, humans have no nature, only behavior.” But that is not valid. Nor is it valid to say that as long as people have the choice to between RIGHT AND WRONG, crisis is inevitable. You see, as long as “RIGHT” is in the individual’s interest, then overall, “right” things will be done, not “wrong” things – achievement, not destruction. UNLESS! Unless, NOBODY FUCKING KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT RIGHT AND WRONG!!! What if nearly everyone has been blinded by faith – by the EASY WAY OUT of letting other people do for you rather than DOING FOR YOURSELF!!!??? What if only a tiny minority of people have thrown out faith and know that morality is rational? That: my selfish interest is not a claim against you. Not a threat. That rationally, my selfishness demands that I DO NOT use force with anyone, because it is never in my interest to approve the use of force against myself. SO SIMPLE! But that simple thing is what the world is missing.

Isn’t it fitting that wars are begun by the intellectual seed of a mistake so small, seemingly insignificant, yet so powerful that it remains ignored by nearly everyone – crying, screaming, bleeding, and dying for this mistake.

THINK ABOUT IT. The only thing that separates you from a sacrificial animal awaiting slaughter is that you are capable of reasoning “A RIGHT”.

I pity the billions of people on this planet who’ve never educated themselves in rational philosophy.

The only solution to any problem is: Knowledge. And only rational answers are capable of success in a reality without contradictions.

The foundation and the continuation of all evil is the refusal to: Think.

If the majority of people were educated in rational philosophy, it would be impossible for corruption to gain power – because morality is rational. Thus no elite group could get away with enslaving society through their own silence in moral bankruptcy financed by their irrational philosophy. Replace ignorance and fear with rational philosophy – in the vast majority of individuals in any society – and you get meaningful political change and lasting freedom… Likely: you’ll even get paradise on earth…But only if YOU have the courage to recognize your nature – and put yourself (your values, rational morality) before everything else, without compromise.

In a society of people educated in rational philosophy, it would be impossible for any group, gang, or mob of politicians to establish control through unbounded democracy – because no majority of people would be ignorant of the fact that there is no such thing as “government” without principles – that no laws, no “rights”, are possible without a “constitution” – without philosophy.

But, without widespread awareness of these facts: the strong, corrupt, elite leading, controlling, and enslaving the weak, is inevitable. That’s what you have in The USA, and the rest of their “New World Order”.

The problem is not the economic system which follows from your nature - Capitalism. The problem is everyone’s ignorance of it all. Slaves are ignorant. Welcome to the hell that everyone has contributed to building by their ignorance and silence.

Great article, mate. Well done.

You've put perfectly into words the great potential of the Internet... lots hope and pray and *work to ensure* that that potential is not squandered in the times to come.

Another fantastic read, thank you. It would be great to see action being taken, but we're also limited to one step at a time. Maybe by taking more small steps we'll cover a greater distance towards breaking down those barriers and sharing what we're interested in and what just *might* make the world, or a small part of it, a better place.

Thanks Darragh (love the blog!)

We have content creation now at a rapid rate. What we need to do is connect ordinary people with the content being created around them on a daily basis - this is healthy storytelling.

Storytelling is a human art form allowing the community to communicate ideas. That is its nature. We now have a situation where anyone can control the media of high culture but we are not at a point where the tales are connecting with the people within these cultures in real time. People are too used to being spoon fed the product of traditional media.

But times are changing and the next generation will be well used to the idea that they 'are' the story.

The key is developing new platforms that allow for collaboration and interaction at a local level. The tales should reflect the realilty of the culture they come from. Sounds simple, but the workings of the broadcasting industry for the last 100 odd years have not allowed for that. They serve a different purpose, despite the best efforts of public service broadcasting.

Thats what we are working on. Watch this space as they say.

I'm really glad I read this post. In fact, I really wish I'd written it as you've really expressed something that's been on my mind and has formed the basis for my passion for a while now, but overall you're spot on in what you say. The seperation, the storytelling, the "pillars of society", the tools at our disposal - it's all inspiring and overwhelming and brimming with potential and it needs people who are committed enough to the ideal to step outside themselves and focus on this to play a part.

Would be really interested in hearing more of your thoughts on this. I know they don't come easily, but you're definitely onto something here. Congrats and thanks!

Hello

I thought you might be interested in this documentary from the BBC World Service that marked the 20th anniversary of the assassination Chico Mendes. The programme looks at the life of this highly significant green activist who helped to galvanise the race to preserve the Amazon.
